YES TO PEACE, NO TO NATO

THE ANTI-IMPERIALIST YOUTH AGAINST THEIR IMPERIALIST WARS, EXPLOITATION AND OPPRESSION

In the framework of the last NATO Summit –which took place on the 29th and 30th of June of 2022 in Madrid (Spain) in the context of the 40th anniversary of its formal entry into NATO– the #YesToPeaceNoToNATO campaign was launched by the World Federation of Democratic Youth. The objectives of these NATO Summits are part of the dangerous escalation of confrontation and warmongering that threatens youth and people throughout the world. While the imperialists sit down at these NATO Summits to discuss and decide on the war, the World Federation of Democratic Youth must raise the flag of peace and anti-imperialism high. That is why, since we launched the campaign, we have participated in counter-summits against the last NATO Summit, we have organised demonstrations, meetings and all kinds of actions to put on the table the need to stand up to capitalism in its imperialist stage and all its alliances.
We appeal to the youth of the world to mobilize for peace and against NATO, for its dissolution and support the right of the people to fight for the disengagement of their country from these or any other imperialist alliance; and in the non-member countries not to join them. We must struggle to put an end to their imperialist wars, exploitation and any kind of oppression; until we have built the world we have dreamed of and fought for.
