VERY URGENT SOLIDARITY ACTION

 Stop immediately the Israeli aggression against Lebanese
and Palestinian youth and people!

Dear comrades and friends,  

We send you many greetings from the Headquarters of the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY) in Budapest, Hungary.

WFDY expresses its strong disgust, protests and deeply concerns towards the Israeli   attacks on Lebanon and Palestine in the last days, causing hundreds of deaths and   injuries among the Lebanese and Palestinian people. 

We are calling upon all our member and friendly organizations at national, regional and   international level to organize protest actions in front of Israel and US Embassies (in   countries where they exist). In case of countries where there is not these Embassies   the actions could also be organized in front United Nations Offices. 

The protests of this Common Day of Actions shall take place on 27th of July 2006, Thursday.  The first goal of this Common Day of Actions is to have all the activities at the same day, handover to the Israel and US representations the WFDY Statement and aim to extend our solidarity to the cause and struggle of Lebanese and Palestinian youth and people.    

Enclosed with this message we are sending the STATEMENT OF WFDY on the situation in Middle East, which should be spread out among the young people of your country and delivered to the Israel or US Embassy in your country.  

More information would be available in WFDY WEBSITE in coming days. 

Moreover we urge you to intensify your actions and extend solidarity to our comrades, involving the young people from different areas and sectors on this struggle.

Military Greetings from Beirut

The Israeli murderous attack on Lebanon entered its eighth day. Destruction of all infrastructures is still taking place while quarantine on all food, medicine and basic needs is applied. We are now facing a big deficit in these basic supplies and we expect beginnings of starvation within few weeks if things go on in the same way. We ask for political support as we told you before and we also ask for donations in order to supply the refugees with their needs. This is our account number with our regards:
