Once again the Jordanian authorities succeed in proving itself as the major leading security practices of the region.  As if a major country cannot afford the participation of young activists in a seminar on its land, the authorities hasten to detain them the minute they arrive, keep them under arrest and investigations for an entire night before it deports them, on the first morning flight the day after.

Three comrades from the Union of Lebanese Democratic Youth-ULDY, President Ali Mteirek and members of the Executive Bureau, Mona Awali and Assem Tarhini were arrested on their way to attend and participate in a seminar organized by the “Jordanian Democratic Youth Union -JDYU” as well as Jordanian militants and political activists entitled: “Models & Prospects of Change in the Arab World”, in order to exhibit the struggle for change in Lebanon under the dominating sectarian regime, to be surprised by another oppressor regime, labeling this act as exceeding the allowable limits set in a country where  tolerated acts are now less than few.

A similar action was depicted against the Moroccan comrade participating in the seminar who was deported as well to her country after long investigations. As for the Egyptian delegate, he was not granted the permission to travel to Jordan in the first place.  These set of acts resulted in the postponement of the seminar/event originally scheduled for 28^th-29^th June 2012 for further notice.

These actions from the arrest of the comrades to the destabilizing of the seminar, and the arrest of Jordanian comrades few months ago, all results in the destabilization of the popular movements from a regime headed by a king. A regime, that compromises on the freedom and rights of his people in order to satisfy his allies. The fear of the destruction of the imperialist interests of the Jordanian king’s regime the puppet of USA; the fear that these movements may lead to a change in the liberal economical pattern that is making the king and his associates richer and the people poorer, lead to these actions. A regime which makes alliances with the enemy, and sells the rights of his people everyday the same way he sold the Palestinian cause.

WFDY condemns those repressive actions and reassures that they will definitely not prevent the Jordanian Youth from struggling, reflecting, and aiming towards the progress and change of the current reality they are enduring. This condemned and refused act increases our deep solidarity with the Jordanian youth and its people longing for change, and we assure them that change is inevitable, and nothing will prevent it.

WFDY strongly condemns all attempts to prevent progress and change in any country and considers the practices of the Jordanian authorities nothing but the expansion of its repressive nature towards the satisfaction of all its superiors on the account of the dreams and rights of its people.

بيان الوفدي حول قمع السلطات الأردنية للمشاركون في الندوة التي يقيمها إتحاد الشباب الديمقراطي الأردني.

مرة أخرى تثبت السلطات الأردنية نفسها رائدة الممارسات الأمنية في المنطقة. دولة بحجم الأردن لا يمكنها تحمل مشاركة نشطاء في ندوة على أراضيها، فقد قامت السلطات بإعتقالهم فور وصولهم، وأبقتهم رهن التوقيف والإستجواب ليلة كاملة قبل ترحيلهم إلى لبنان في أول رحلة عائدة صباحاً.

ثلاثة رفاق من إتحاد الشباب الديمقراطي اللبناني، رئيس الإتحاد علي متيرك وأعضاء المكتب التنفيذي منى عوالة وعاصم ترحيني تم أعتقالهم وهم في طريقهم للمشاركة في ندوة يقيمها إتحاد الشباب الديمقراطي الأردني وناشطون سياسيون ومناضلون أردنيون بعنوان “نماذج وآفاق التغيير في العالم العربي”، ليقدموا عرضاً عن النضال من أجل التغيير في لبنان بظل النظام الطائفي الحاكم، ليتفاجئوا بقمع من نظام آخر، فإرتأت أجهزة الأقبية أن هذا الفعل يتخطى المسموح في بلد تكاد تحصى على أصابع اليد الواحدة الأشياء المسموحة فيه!

تصرف مماثل تجاه الرفيقة من المغرب المشاركة في الندوة، فقد تم ترحيلها إلى المغرب بعد عدة ساعات من الإستجواب. أما المشارك المصري، فلم يسمح له بالسفر إلى الأردن من مصر. وأسفرت هذه المجموعة من الأعمال إلى تأجيل الندوة، التي كانت مقررة في 28 و29 من الشهر الحالي، لوقت لاحق.

هذه الأفعال من الإعتقال وتعطيل الندوة وما سبقها من إعتقالات للرفاق الأردنيين منذ شهرين، كلها تصب في محاولة تعطيل الحراك الشعبي الأردني من نظام يترأسه ملك، يساوم على حقوق شعبه وحريتهم على حساب إرضاء حلفائه الخارجين. محاولة تعطيل الحراك خوفاً من أن يؤدي إلى تدمير مصالح سلطة الملك الأردنية التابعة للرأسمالية وما تمثله في الولايات المتحدة اللأمريكية، خوفاً من أن تؤدي إلى تغيير النمط الإقتصادي الليبرالي الذي يزيد الشعب فقراً والملك وسلطته ثراءً، نظام يتحالف مع الأعداء، وكما باع القضية الفلسطينية يعمل على بيع حرية وحقوق شعبه كل يوم.

الوفدي يدين هذه الإجراءات القمعية ويؤكد أنها لن تمنع الشباب الأردني من النضال والتوجه نحو التقدم والتغيير للوضع الحالي. هذا العمل المستنكر والمرفوض يزيد من تضامننا مع الشباب والشعب الأردني التواق للتغيير، ونؤكد أن لا أحد يمكن أن يمنع التغيير فهو آت لا محال.

الوفدي يستنكر بشدة جميع محاولات منع التقدم والتغيير في أي بلد، ويعتبر ممارسات السلطات الأردنية إنما يأتي من ضمن إرضاء الرؤساء على حساب حقوق وأحلام الشعب.
